Biography

Dr. Tyan is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. His areas of interest include natural childbirth and cesarean delivery minimization, management of chronic pelvic pain, and minimally invasive complex pelvic surgery. He is fluent in English, French, Arabic, and medical Spanish.

After earning his medical degree (MD), Dr. Tyan completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the George Washington University. Following residency, he pursued an American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) accredited fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Tyan also completed a Masters (MS) in clinical research from the University of North Carolina, Gilling's School of Global Public Health.
